Barclays Center is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Brooklyn, New York City. The center is home to the National Basketball Association's Brooklyn Nets, and is due to be home to the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. Aside from sporting events, the arena also hosts concerts and music events, and the center hosted the MTV Video Music Awards in 2013. The venue has also won a number of awards, including the 2012 Pollstar Award for Best New Major Concert Venue, Architizer A+ Building of the Year Award, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce Brooklyn Building Award for Economic Development, and the 2013 Sports Business Awards Sports Facility of the Year.

The New York City Center was Manhattan's first performing arts center and now accommodates many performing arts companies, such as City Center's Principal Dance Company and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. It also hosts many other national and international artists. The company hosts a variety of workshops that are popular with families, seniors and schools. The New York City Center's Mainstage has 2,257 seats.

David Geffen Hall is a concert hall located inside the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts complex on Manhattan's Upper West Side, New York City. The venue was opened in 1962 and has a seating capacity of 2,738. It is the home of the New York Philharmonic, and is used for many different events, including concerts and orchestral events, to ceremonies and other special events. It has also been used to record music albums.
