Tituss Burgess Returns to Oh, Mary! On Broadway

Tony-nominated Oh, Mary! has now extended through to September
Emmy-nominated actor Tituss Burgess is set to return to Oh, Mary!, running from June 23 to August 2 at the Lyceum Theatre. He takes over the role of Mary Todd Lincoln from playwright and original star Cole Escola, who will play their final performance on June 21.
The dark comedy has received five 2025 Tony nominations, including Best Play, Best Actor in a Play for Escola, and Best Featured Actor in a Play for Ricamora.
Broadway fans can expect Burgess, known for his Emmy-nominated role in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, to bring his signature charisma and comedic brilliance.
The production has now extended through September 28.
What Is The Plot?
In early 1865, Abraham Lincoln was swiftly and unknowingly approaching the end of his life. During this time, we see Mary, his "foul and hateful wife" stifled and unhappy, dealing with a life that wasn't what she intended as she works her way through her lifelong desires and unfulfilled dreams. In this raucous five-star comedic tour-de-force, we see Mary launch herself into the world of theatre with aplomb, leading to a fantastically ridiculous finale as silly as Lincoln himself was serious!
