Hells Kitchen
Nominated for an astounding 13 Tony Awards! This all-new inspirational musical is now showing on Broadway, beginning performances at Broadway's Shubert Theatre in March. Created by playwright and Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristoffer Diaz and scored by Alicia Keys. Largely drawn from the award-winning singer's own story, the Hells Kitchen is based on Keys' own life growing up in the Bronx
Oh Mary!
After delighting audiences at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, Cole Escola's brand new play is coming to Broadway! Oh Mary! Is a dark comedy, with Escola playing former United States first lady Mary Todd Lincoln, whilst they break down her life from the inside, and in Escola's own words, through the lens of an idiot. Tony Award nominee Sam Pinkleton directs, and Escola is joined by Lucille Lortel nominee Conrad Ricamora and James Scully, among others. Don't miss out on this exciting and hilarious chance to see the First Lady as you've never seen her!
The Hills of California
During the dry, dry summer of 1976, the beaches of Blackpool are packed full of holidaymakers, the B&Bs and hotels are full to the brim and the people of Britain are lapping up the sun. Yet in the sweltering heat of the town, far from the sea and gently sloshing waves, the daughters of a guest-house owner head back to her heavily deteriorating lodge. Jez Butterworth's new masterpiece, which recently had a run in the West End and earned an Olivier nomination for Best New Play, is set to transfer to Broadway. Performances will start at the Broadhurst Theatre on Wednesday, September 11, with the official opening night scheduled for September 29.
Yellow Face
From Tony-award winning playwright David Henry Hwang comes the Broadway debut of his Obie Award winning, semi-autobiographical comedy Yellow Face! The fictionalized version of Hwang stands vehemently against the yellowface casting of a white actor in an Asian role in Miss Saigon... before accidentally doing the exact same in his latest work!
McNeal
It is said that a good writer borrows and that an even better one steals. Jacob McNeal, portrayed by Academy Award winner Robert Downey Jr., exemplifies the latter in this wickedly captivating story. As one of the most acclaimed authors of our time and a perpetual contender for the Nobel Prize in Literature, McNeal's brilliance is unquestionable....however, his personal life is far from perfect; he has a strained relationship with his estranged son, a freshly penned novel that stirs up old grudges, and an unsettling obsession with Artificial Intelligence.
Romeo and Juliet
Starring Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) as Juliet, and Kit Connor, known for his breakout role in Netflix's Heartstopper, as Romeo - a new take on the Shakespeare classic arrives at Broadway this year. Directed by Tony-winner Sam Gold and with original music from Grammy winning artist and songwriter Jack Antonoff, prepare for a unique modern retelling of this classic yet tragic love story.
