Written by Matthew Freeman and directed by Jessi D. Hill, The Ask stars Marilu Henner (Taxi, Evening Shade) and Shannon Purser (Stranger Things, Riverdale) as two people who discover that having the same ideals doesn't necessarily mean seeing the world in quite the same way.

What's The Story?

Greta is a longtime donor with strong progressive views. Tanner is a young ACLU fundraiser hoping to secure a significant gift from her. Sounds straightforward enough, right? Not quite.

When the two meet in Greta's Upper West Side apartment, their conversation soon takes an unexpected turn. What begins as a fundraising pitch becomes a gripping clash between two generations, as shared beliefs give way to surprising disagreements, leading to the unsettling reality of what can become when people fighting for the same cause realise they no longer understand each other.
