The PEANUTS gang is heading back to the stage! A brand-new production of the Tony Award-winning musical You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown has announced its star-studded cast, bringing together some of the biggest names from stage, screen and comedy.
About The Cast
Leading the cast is Tony Award nominee Danielle Brooks, best known for her acclaimed performance as Sofia in The Color Purple on Broadway and her Emmy Award-winning role in Orange Is the New Black. She will take on the role of Lucy, alongside Emmy Award winner Ayo Edebiri (The Bear, Bottoms) as Snoopy, Jin Ha (M. Butterfly, Pachinko) as Linus and Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce (Frasier, Curtains) as Charlie Brown.
Directed by Tony Award winner Sam Pinkleton (Oh, Mary!), this fresh revival celebrates the beloved musical based on Charles M. Schulz's iconic PEANUTS comic strip. Featuring the original 1967 orchestrations, the production will also include material from the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival, bringing a new energy to songs including "Happiness", "Suppertime", "The Baseball Game" and the much-loved title song.
First premiering Off-Broadway in 1967 before becoming a Broadway favourite, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown has remained a beloved part of musical theatre history for generations. The heartwarming show follows Charlie Brown and his friends as they navigate the everyday challenges of growing up, from school and friendships to dreams, disappointments and discovering what truly brings happiness.
