Kenrex, the critically acclaimed one-man play created by Jack Holden and Ed Stambollouian, is headed to Off-Broadway following a five-star West End run. Directed by Stambollouian, the production features Holden playing a multitude of characters, with a live, Americana-inspired musical score written and performed by John Patrick Elliott. Catch this true crime masterpiece as it takes up residence at the Lucille Lortel Theatre from April 15th to July 5th, 2026.
Set in Skidmore, Missouri, Kenrex revisits the unsettling true story of 10 July 1981, when dozens witnessed a man being murdered in broad daylight, yet none admitted to seeing anything. Blurring the lines between true crime and Western myth, Kenrex paints a haunting portrait of an American town and the secrets it keeps.
