Why see Data?
A Thriller for the Age of AI
What exactly are we giving up when we click "agree"? Fresh off an acclaimed Washington premiere, Matthew Libby's intense, pulse-racing new drama Data is logging on Off Broadway. Set in the shadowy heart of Silicon Valley, it examines our relationship with technology - and the people who profit from it.
About The Show
A brilliant young programmer lands his dream entry-level job at a powerful data-mining company, but it doesn't take long for the shine to wear off. Behind closed doors, he discovers the firm's true - and deeply secretive - operations. As the moral cost of the work becomes impossible to ignore, he's forced into an agonising choice: protect his future, or risk everything to do what feels right.
Directed by Drama Desk nominee Tyne Rafaeli (Weather Girl, Selling Kabul), this New York premiere features a standout cast including Karan Brar (Jessie), Brandon Flynn (13 Reasons Why), Sophia Lillis (It), and Justin H. Min (The Umbrella Academy).
