Starring in this American premiere, Tony-winning actor Matthew Broderick is set to appear in David Ireland's award-winning satirical play, Ulster American. He will be joined by Geraldine Hughes (Belfast Blues) and Max Baker (Continuity), playing an English theatre director and a Northern Irish playwright, respectively.
The play first appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018 and was met with five-star reviews and riotous applause, and then went on to have a five-star London run in 2023. The Off-Broadway version of Ulster American will be directed by the award-winning Ciarn O'Reilly (The Weir). Make sure you catch this hilarious and provocative black comedy while you have the chance!
What's It About?
Ulster American follows a group of creatives as they attempt to stage a new play about a violent Protestant activist from Northern Ireland, and the tribulations and passionate disagreements that they face along the way.
