Sukkot, a new play by Matthew Leavitt, delivers big time. The laughs are so consistent, the characters so well-defined, the emotional arc so satisfying.

After losing his wife, Patrick finds an unexpected way to reconnect with his family.
How do we smile after heartbreak? What better way to do so than through celebration! Off-Broadway's latest uplifting contemporary drama, Sukkot, follows a family on a journey through loss, rediscovering joy and uncovering the moments that bring them closer together.
A year after losing his wife, Patrick Sullivan is struggling to move forward. When a rabbi introduces him to Sukkot, a Jewish festival, Patrick builds a sukkah in his garden and insists his three grown children return home to celebrate. As the family gathers for their mother's unveiling ceremony, awkward conversations, bickering, and old tensions begin to resurface. But soon, they discover that healing can come from the most unexpected places.
