Daniel, October 10th, 2025

Jordan Will Step Into The Shoes of Mr Gatsby Once Again

It has been announced that Jeremy Jordan is set to reprise his original role as Jay Gatsby in Broadway's The Great Gatsby from November 10. Jordan will be taking over from Ryan McCartan, who will conclude his run on November 9. Jordan originated the role of Gatsby in 2024 before departing to headline Floyd Collins at Lincoln Center, which in turn earned him a Tony nomination in 2025.

Alongside the announcement, the production has released a video of Jeremy Jordan and Aisha Jackson (who plays Daisy Buchanan) performing a mashup of Lorde's Green Light' and the production's My Green Light'. Check it out below!

What is the story?

An exploration of the American Dream and the dangers of wanting what you can't buy, The Great Gatsby follows the fortunes of writer Nick Carraway, whose life is changed forever when he stays with his cousin Daisy Buchanan in the exclusive West Egg neighborhood. The locals are up in arms about fabulously rich new resident Jay Gatsby, who appears to have it all. But are things exactly as they seem, or is this strange gentleman hiding a darker side?
