Critics have been to see Broadway's A Christmas Carol - here's what they thought!
Feedback for the imaginative adaptation of Dickens' famous work has been overwhelmingly positive. Of course, Mays takes a lot of the praise for his turn in the production, one where he plays not one but over 50 different characters!
The Wrap agreed, saying that "no two actors could achieve what Mays, Stanton and Arden offer up here". Stanton being lighting designer Ben Stanton and Arden director Michael Arden. The Daily Beast were equally impressed with Mays, "playing both narrator and all the characters is no small feat".
if you see only one version of Dickens's classic tale this season, this should be it!
However the highest praise has come from Theatermania, who wrote "you have never seen a Christmas Carol quite like the one now running on Broadway at the Nederlander Theatre, and that if you see only one version of Dickens's classic tale this season, this should be it!"
