The list of nominated shows includes SIX, The Music Man, Company, Mrs Doubtfire and more excellent productions currently heating up Broadway. Top of the list is the critically acclaimed A Strange Loop with eleven nominations, including Best Musical. Its up against some stellar shows, including SIX, Girl From the North Country, MJ The Musical and Mr. Saturday Night.
Speaking of Mr. Saturday Night, Mr Crystal himself has been nominated for 'Best Leading Actor in a Musical'. He shares the honour with The Music Man's Hugh Jackman, Jaquel Spivey from A Strange Loop and Mrs. Doubtfire's Rob McClure. 'Best Leading Actress in a Musical' will see Sharon D Clarke, Carmen Cusack, Joaquina Kalukango, Mare Winningham and Sutton Foster compete for the award.
Other notable nominations include David Morse (How I Learned To Drive) and Sam Rockwell, (American Buffalo) both nominated for 'Best Leading Actor in a Play'. Ruth Negga has been nominated for her role in Macbeth.
