Crystal has joked that he now needs considerably less make-up to play the 75 year old veteran comedian compared to when he starred in the film almost 30 years ago! The role was to become one of his greatest, and the film of the same name has since gone down as a Billy Crystal classic.
Whether you're familiar with the original Mr Saturday Night or not, there's no denying Crystal's talent on-screen. So his crossing over to tread the boards on Broadway is something the entertainment world is very excited about. The 73-year old actor was last seen on the Great White Way in 2014 when he performed the final performances of his award-winning solo play, 700 Sundays. The opportunity to see the Tony-winner in a fully-fledged, full-scale musical is a rare treat!
