An all-star cast including Emma D'Arcy (House of the Dragon) and Tobias Menzies (The Crown) take the lead in Alexander Zeldin's critically acclaimed play, opening at The Shed this January. Focusing on a tense family gathering in the wake of the father's death, The Other Place is a searing exploration of grief, shattered dreams and guilt.
Years after the tragic death of their father, long-estranged sisters Annie and Issy - still in the depths of grief - are brought back together in his old house, now the domain of their uncle Chris. He's determined to bury the past and make peace with the family - but Annie has more than a few things on her mind, not least the urn containing her father's ashes. The fragile ceasefire will soon be broken as long-held grief spills out, core memories are contested, and the whole family starts to collapse in on itself.
