But as their web of family and friends crosses distances both psychological and geographical, an unlikely new family is forged.

Bathsheba Doran’s play sheds a sharp light on the changing face of kinship in the expansive landscape of the modern world.

A great joy

This play has what one wants from the theater: plot, character, fine writing, all superbly realized by the director and cast. These are real people. We know people like these people. Occasionally, the timeline and flashbacks are a bit hard to follow, but the mind and a good portion of the heart is fully engaged in "Kin." Beloved Spouse and I go to the theater three or four times a month and this play was a great joy. ... Read more
