The Michael Jackson Estate and Columbia Live Stage have partnered on the project, with two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage (Sweat, Ruined) set to pen the book. Tony winner Christopher Wheeldon (An American In Paris) has been tapped to Choreograph/Direct the musical. With both Nottage and Wheeldon on the scene, admirers of the late artist can rest assured that Michael's incredible story is in safe hands.

Rising to fame as a member of the famous Jackson 5 in the late 60's, Michael Jackson is dubbed as the King of Pop, with the artist becoming one of the most significant cultural figures of the twentieth century and one of the greatest entertainers of all time. When his sudden death was announced in 2009, the news shocked the global community with websites crashing due to overdemand to know what was happening to the beloved musician. His legacy lives on to this day, with his 31 top ten hits, 13 Grammy Awards, six Brit Awards and 26 American Music Awards.

My mother just turn 81 on April 4th, So I decided to surprise her with tickets to MJ The Musical this past Sunday, April 7. If you haven't experienced this electrifying journey that is MJ The Musical, let me be the one to insist that you do! When it comes to capturing the essence of Michael Jackson's life, music, and legendary career, this show truly hits every note. The cast delivers performances that breathe life into every character, making you feel like you're right there alongside the King of Pop himself.
The stage design is nothing short of spectacular, with backdrops that takes you to iconic moments in Jackson's career. Add to that the amazing use of lighting and effects, and you're in for a visual treat. And oh, the music! The musical arrangements and vocals are simply outstanding, leaving you with chills and a strong desire to dance in your seat.

I'm not one for musicals but I would go back to see this alone. The performance off all the actors was brilliant the music and vocals faultless.
The way it transitioned seamlessly from present to past memories and back to present was outstanding.
