Why see X Japan?
Get Ready to Rock!
X Japan return to North America for the first time in four years to play a one-off show at Madison Square Garden. Led by songwriter Yoshiki, Japan X have had a massive influence on the metal scene in their native country, practically inventing 'visual kei', a style of rock which borrows the flamboyant trappings of Glam acts like David Bowie and T Rex.
X Japan have had a famously tumultuous history. Two of their founding members, Hide and Taji, passed away through tragic circumstances and the band disbanded for a decade from 1997. They reformed in 2007, and with the promise of a new record to be released in the very near future, they've been continuously touring the globe, playing to thousands of leather-clad, adoring fans.
