And that's not all, the stylish synth-pop scored murderous musical has undergone a few more changes, with new songs, and lashings of more horror and suspense. Stepping into Matt Smith's blood-soaked shoes as Patrick Bateman is Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson).

Based on Brett Easton Ellis' 1991 novel and the film of the same name, American Psycho's transformation to ironic musical spectacular was the idea of the playwright Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. A strange concept for a musical you might think, a yuppie whose life is built on shallow consumerism and violent, diabolical acts, but American Psycho is a slick, funny and clever show that illustrates our fascination with capitalism and how it can devalue the few real things in life.
