Centered around an astonishing central performance from Daniel Day Lewis, There Will Be Blood stands as one of the great films of the 21st Century. New York Philharmonic presents a screening of the film, with Jonny Greenwood's dissonant score played live in accompaniment.

Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, There Will Be Blood is the rise and fall story of Daniel Plainview, a zealous oilman who strikes it big in late 1800s California. His success is disrupted by clashes with a local preacher, and the arrival of a man claiming to be his long lost brother. Released in 2007, the movie was nominated for eight Academy Awards, and won two, including Best Actor for Day Lewis.
