Long held in high esteem in the worlds of literature and music respectively, the genius of Shakespeare's written poetry and Prokofiev's musical composition marries perfectly in Prokofiev's take on the classic bittersweet tale of star-crossed young lovers and their warring families.

Led by guest conductor Stephane Deneve, the NY Philharmonic is joined by world-renowned Canadian violinist James Ehnes. No stranger to international stages, Ehnes has performed in over 35 countries with a multitude of the world's leading orchestras, dazzling audiences with his virtuosic skill and technical brilliance.
