New York Philharmonic Orchestra has a spooky treat in store, with a live-to picture performance of a vintage horror classic! The 1931 Spanish-language movie of Bram Stoker's Dracula is a little known hidden gem in the canon of adaptations of the famous count. The film screens at David Geffen Hall, with a brand new, live musical score composed by Gustavo Santaolalla performed by the New York Philharmonic, also featuring the Gustavo playing the guitar!
Argentinian-born Santaolalla has swept up the awards for his work as a musician, producer and composer, including two Oscars for his soundtracks for Brokeback Mountain and Babel, Emmy nominations for his work on The Last Of Us, and numerous Grammy and Latin Grammy awards for work across as a record producer. This Spanish 1931 take on the chilling tale of Dracula is made even more menacing with his excellent new soundtrack. Don't miss out!
