New talent takes center stage at the New York City jazz festival
The New York City jazz festival presents the opportunity for instrumental and vocal jazz ensembles to perform at the iconic Apollo Theater to a panel of jazz experts. Previously, Grammy award winning vocalist Kurt Elling and highly acclaimed Cuban saxophonist Paquito D'Rivera have collaborated with the festival.
Audiences can witness a tremendous opportunity for the Jazz industries upcoming musicians to exhibit their passion and capability. The showcase has also received attention from New York Voices, a renowned vocal ensemble who have been collaborators at past shows. The ensemble who first performed as a group in 1988 have now been making music together for over thirty years.
Not only will participating ensembles be given expert praise, criticism and advice from masters in the industry, they will also get to watch selected musicians at an evening performance and make their own marks at a world known, first class venue.
