Culture, Family and Togetherness Are at The Heart of Kwanzaa

As part of a celebration amongst the West African diaspora in the Americas, Kwanzaa at the Apollo Theater in New York. The annual event will feature popular New York dance company Abdel Salaam's Forces of Nature Dance Theatre.

The family friendly celebration highlights the Kwanzaa festival and how it was created by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966 as an effort to bring together African Americans as a community. The event will include a performance from the Forces of Nature Dance Theatre who toured internationally and have been vastly recognized for their incorporation of contemporary, West African, Ballet and Hip Hop dance styles.
