The Kanye West/Bon Iver collaborator hits the road with his latest solo album Just For Us
Since his Drake-endorsed debut EP dropped in 2007, American producer and songwriter Francis Farewell Starlite AKA Frances and the Lights has explored the crossroads between R&B and indie music with extraordinary results. His decade long journey from bedroom project to full-fledged artist in his own right includes collaborations with the likes of Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Chance the Rapper and Bon Iver, culminating in the 2017 release of his critically-acclaimed sophomore album Just For Us.
Fusing ethereal electro-soul with expertly-crafted songwriting, unabashed pop hooks and space-age synths, Francis is something of a latter-day Peter Gabriel. His distinct Gabriel-esque vocals bring a poetic earthiness to the artist's electronically produced beats, whilst his confident on-stage persona places him in the same league as the roster of heavy-hitters he's worked with.
