Between The World and Me is a book written by Ta-Nehisi Coates, which explores the racial injustice in America. Written as if it was a letter to his son, Coates speaks of the realities which come with being a Black American in the United States. The New York Times and The New Yorker described the book as exceptional.
Coates book has been adapted into a multimedia performance with projections, monologues and a score by Jazz musician Jason Moran. Portions of Mr. Coates letter to his son will be read aloud during the performance. The Apollos executive Producer, Kamilah Forbes, will be directing the production.
