Norbert Leo Butz returns to the stage in a touching new drama
Dolly Wells is set to replace Maura Tierney in Hamish Linklater's The Whirligig, opposite Tony and Drama Desk multiple winner Norbert Leo Butz. A world premiere production, the new play tells the story of a fractured community who rally around a woman who they believed had been lost forever. When Kristina returns to her old town of Berkshire County to care for her sick daughter, with her ex-husband, the locals becomes abuzz with rumor, and joy for her return. This touching and human drama celebrates the power of community spirit prevailing over the passage of time.
Butz holds a rare position of having won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical twice, as one of only nine actors to do so, for the musicals Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Catch Me If You Can. Since 2015 he has starred as Kevin Rayburn in the 2015 Netflix show Bloodline.
