Mira Sorvino Is Bringing Her Oscar-Winning Magic to Broadway’s Chicago
Broadway is about to get a little more glamorous
Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino - Romy and Michele's High School Reunion royalty herself - is about to make her long-awaited Broadway debut in Chicago. Sorvino will step into the role of Roxie Hart at the Ambassador Theatre starting September 15, through November 2.
You probably know her best for her Oscar-winning turn in Mighty Aphrodite, but her resume is a buffet of memorable roles - from Summer of Sam to Beautiful Girls, Romy and Michele, Modern Family, and American Crime Story: Impeachment. Coming up, she'll be hitting the big screen in Sound of Freedom alongside Jim Caviezel and Lamborghini opposite Gabriel Byrne.

About Chicago On Broadway
A little Broadway history lesson: this revival of Chicago first strutted onto the stage in 1996 as part of City Center's Encores! series, then transferred to Broadway and never looked back. It's now the second-longest-running show in Broadway history - seen by over 33 million people in 36 countries. Only The Phantom of the Opera has had a longer run.
The show's got all the Broadway heavy-hitters behind it - music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, direction by Walter Bobbie, and choreography by the late, great Ann Reinking (based on Bob Fosse's original moves). It also scooped up a pile of Tonys in 1997, including Best Revival of a Musical.
