Jinkx Monsoon Is Bringing the Chaos to Broadway's Oh, Mary!

She's about to make a fabulous, bloomers-clad entrance
The two-time RuPaul's Drag Race champ and current star of Roundabout's Pirates! The Penzance Musical has officially announced she'll be taking over the role of Mary Todd Lincoln in Oh, Mary! this summer. She'll step into the hoop skirt starting August 4, taking over from Tituss Burgess, whose limited run wraps up September 27.
Before Jinkx hits the stage, Cole Escola - who both wrote the play and earned a Tony Award for their performance as Mary - finished their own run on June 21. Tituss Burgess then returns for a six-week encore starting June 23.

About Oh, Mary!
Oh, Mary! has been a runaway hit since its Off-Broadway debut at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, where it played to sold-out crowds and extended its run not once, not twice, but three times. The Broadway transfer opened on July 11, 2024, and it hasn't slowed down since, now scheduled to run through January 4, 2026 at the Lyceum Theatre.
For the uninitiated, Oh, Mary! reimagines the final weeks of First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln's life as a cabaret-fueled fever dream. Through Escola's unhinged and hilarious lens (or as the official description puts it, "the lens of an idiot"), Mary is a melodramatic, wine-loving chaos magnet. Sam Pinkleton directs (after winning a 2025 Tony for it).
Hide your bourbon. Mary is back... and this time, she's got a drag queen's lungs!
