Michael Urie, Kevin Chamberlin And Betsy Wolf To Star In High Button Shoes!

A host of Broadway stars take to the stage this May has the Encores! series announced who will be treading the boards in the Tony-winning High Button Shoes. Star of stage and screen, Micahel Urie (who was last seen on Broadway in Torch Song) leads the cast as Harrison Floy.
Joining Urie will be Tony nominee Kevin Chamberlin as Mr. Pondue and Broadway favorite Betsy Wolfe as Sara Longstreet.
The cast also includes Aidan Alberto as Stevie, Jennifer Allen as Shirley Simpkins, Carla Duren as Fran, Chester Gregory as Papa Longstreet, Mylinda Hull as Nancy, Marc Koeck as Oggle, Matt Loehr as Uncle Willy and Wayne Pretlow as Elmer Simpkins.
This Encores! production of the 1947 musical will be directed by Jack Viertel.
What is High Button Shoes about?
An upbeat musical packed to the brim with colorful characters and catchy Styne and Cahn numbers, its story centers on a family whose world is upended when they cross paths with two eccentric con-men.
