Here comes the General!
Christopher Jackson returns to Hamilton!
George Washington's coming home! That's right, following on from fellow OG Leslie Odom Jr.'s much-praised return to Broadway's Hamilton, Christopher Jackson will reprise his role as George Washington in Lin-Manuel Miranda's cultural smash hit!
With the cast from the show's now legendary Public Theatre run to its Broadway debut and Disney+ recording, Jackson earned a Tony nom and a Grammy win for his gravitas-filled turn as the beleaguered General turned first US President. After leaving the show in late 2016, he then collaborated with Miranda on Moana before gracing our TV screens in And Just Like That. He was last seen on Broadway in 2025 in Hell's Kitchen.
One Last Time
With emotion befitting the elder statesman he portrayed, Jackson says of today's announcement:
"Returning to Hamilton as George Washington is a deeply meaningful homecoming. This show changed my life, and it remains one of the great honors of my career to be part of telling this story. To step back into this room, with this company and this audience, is something I will never take for granted."
See you there, sir!
