The Nominations For The 79th Annual Tony Awards!
New York's best go head-to-head!
A cult-classic vampire story sinks its teeth into Broadway, while a town forever stuck in a Golden Age musical turns heads. Elsewhere, a sinking ship collides with Celine Dion and Daniel Radcliffe commands the stage as a one-man wonder. What a year (so far) it's been for New York theater!
The nominations for the 79th Tony Awards have officially dropped. The race now heads toward Radio City Music Hall on 7 June, where P!NK will host the ceremony, which will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+.
What's The Scoop?
The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon! lead the race with 12 nominations each, whilst Ragtime follows closely behind with 11. Cats: The Jellicle Ball and Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman both have 9 nominations, proving that revivals never truly go out of style.
The acting categories are packed full of recognisable names. Nathan Lane, John Lithgow, and Daniel Radcliffe line up alongside Rose Byrne, Carrie Coon, Lesley Manville, and Kelli O'Hara, to name just a few. Read on for the full list of nominees - and get ready to tell your friends you saw your favourite Tony-nominated show before it turned into a winner.
