Why see Death of a Salesman?

Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf star!

March 2026 sees Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning director Joe Mantello's hotly anticipated new production of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman arriving on Broadway! A play that explores the binding grip of the 'American Dream', Death Of a Salesman won the Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award for Best Play in 1949, solidifying Arthur Miller as one of the greatest playwrights of the 20th century. The revival features a star studded cast doing the justice that such a seminal work deserves, with Nathan Lane (Guys and Dolls; The Producers), Laurie Metcalf (Three Tall WomenLady Bird), Christopher Abbott (Catch 22; James White) and Ben Ahlers (The Last of Us) transporting the play to new and breathtaking heights.

Powerful, moving

Brantley's jaded, unperturbed reaction notwithstanding, this is an unforgettable piece of theater, extraordinarily moving, superbly well-cast, acted by all with wizardry, and with perfect-pitch direction. Many in my March 16 audience wept; everyone rose at the end in a sustained standing ovation. A production in which the entire team appears to recognize the responsibility they have to bring to life, and live up to the importance and majesty of, Arthur Miller's play. ... Read more
