Cats Is Prowling Back Into The Spotlight!
Because Jellicles can - and Jellicles do - play Broadway!
After taking New York by storm during its Off-Broadway run at the Perelman Performing Arts Center in summer 2024, this bold, ballroom-inspired reimagining of Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic musical will make its Broadway debut at the Broadhurst Theatre on March 18, 2026, with opening night set for April 7.
The dream team behind the production returns for Broadway, including co-directors Zhailon Levingston and Bill Rauch and co-choreographers Arturo Lyons and Omari Wiles, whose movement work brought the house down Off-Broadway.
About CATS: The Jellice Ball
Based on T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, the legendary musical first premiered in London's West End in 1981 and on Broadway in 1982, pouncing into the record books as one of the longest-running shows in both cities. It follows the Jellicle Cats as they gather for the Jellicle Ball, where one cat will be chosen to ascend to the Heaviside Layer and be reborn.
