Spike Lee To Direct American Utopia Film

David Bryne's American Utopia is to set to be made into a movie, it has been announced. The Broadway production, which opened in October, will be filmed with Oscar-winning legend Spike Lee signed to direct the project!
American Utopia garnered rave reviews when it opened in the fall of 2019 with Variety calling it an "a stunning... Tour de Force", and The Hollywood Reporter dubbing it a "knockout".
Running through to February 16, David Byrne's American Utopia has consistently played to sold-out and record-breaking houses at the Hudson Theatre since its first preview on October 4.

Former Talking Heads frontman and all-around excellent human David Byrne graces us with a very special Broadway engagement of his theatrical concert, American Utopia. David Byrne's American Utopia is now playing at the Hudson Theatre through to February 16.
