Susan Sarandon to star in Jesse Eisenberg's new play
The two-time Oscar winner leads the world premiere of Eisenberg's newest work
Following on from the announcement that Jesse Eisenberg's new play has changed its name from the previously listed 'Yea, Sister!' to 'Happy Talk', it has also been revealed that the Thelma and Louise star is set to lead the cast in the role of Lorraine, opposite Tony nominee Marin Ireland as Ljuba.
Eisenberg's second work for the stage, Happy Talk is an exploration of the sacrifices we make in our own lives whilst trying to help others, with Lorraine billed as the 'Saint of Suburbia' despite the fact her own life is falling apart at the seams.
A welcome return to the stage for Sarandon, she was last seen on Broadway in 2009's Exit The King with Lauren Ambrose.
Happy Talk begins performances April 30 and runs through June 2.
