The 2018 revival of Eugene O'Neill's epic play The Iceman Cometh has received eight Tony nominations at this year's announcement. The production's nominations include Best Revival of a Play and Best Direction of a Play for George C. Wolfe.
Leading man Denzel Washington gained the nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play with David Morse receiving the nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play.
The production also picked up nominations for Best Scenic Design of a Play, Best Costume Design of a Play, Best Lighting Design of a Play and Best Sound Design of a Play.
