What Is Wicked About?

Before Dorothy crash-landed on the Wicked Witch of the East, there was a whole other history to be explored across the rolling hills of Oz! Based on Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, Wicked tells the gravity-defying story of Elphaba, a misfit girl with emerald green skin who finds an unlikely but profound friendship with the very popular Glinda. This musical unfolds their story of sistership and overcoming corruption, ultimately revealing what led them to be known as Glinda The Good Witch, and Elphaba, The Wicked Witch of The West.
