Following their collaboration on the Pulitzer Prize nominated Becky Shaw, playwright Gina Gionfriddo and director Peter DuBois re-team for Can You Forgive Her? Closing out Vineyard Theatre's 2016/17 season, this new play takes money as its central theme, allowing Gionfriddo to explore our desire for financial security and American society's levels of income inequality with her trademark wit and dark humor.
The play begins on Halloween night, and introduces us to the Miranda, up to her ears in debt and desperate for a way to get back in the black. Her date for the night has gone sour, and she's pouring her heart out to a friend of a friend, when the solution to woes begins to present itself. Can You Forgive Her? premiered last year in Boston, also directed by DuBois.
