A-list Hollywood star George Clooney makes his Broadway debut in this stage adaption of the 2005 Oscar-nominated movie Good Night, and Good Luck' (directed by Clooney himself). The play is directed by Tony-winner David Cromer and is based on the original screenplay. The show will premiere in the spring of 2025 at the Shubert Theatre.
Set against the backdrop of the 1950s, the play chronicles the daring endeavors of legendary broadcaster Edward Murrow and his producer Fred Friendly as they challenge the intimidation tactics of Senator McCarthy. Despite facing resistance from CBS and the constraints imposed by sponsors, Murrow confronts the establishment to unmask the falsehoods propagated in McCarthy's anti-communist crusade.
