Magical Mary at Paper Mill
Inspired by the classic Disney movie, Mary Poppins brings one of the greatest musicals to the stage in a joyous show for all the family. Written by Oscar-winning Downtown Abbey writer Julian Fellowes, it re-introduces us to the magical nanny who shows the Banks family what's really important in life. Featuring all the classic songs from the movie, including 'Spoonful of Sugar', 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' and 'Feed the Birds', this fizzy adaptation stormed Broadway in 2007, and was nominated for seven Tony Awards.
What is Mary Poppins About?
When new nanny Mary Poppins arrives at the banks household, she can see the family are in trouble. Mr. Banks is obsessed with his work at the bank, with his family coming a distant second in his list of priorities, while his two children, Michael and Katie, are terribly misbehaved. With a lot of understanding, a touch of magic, and a spoon full of sugar, Mary sets about restoring order, and with the help of the chipper chimney sweep Bert, she makes the Bank's house a happy, loving one, once again.
