Maz Jobrani

March 13, 2019

Maz Jobrani is also known as the Persian Pink Panther, a cheeky reference to his Iranian-Persian heritage. A well-tread comedian, he's performed comedy in almost every medium with roles on radio shows, TV sitcoms, talk shows, feature films, and at comedy clubs. If you recognise his face it could be pretty hard to track down where you remember him from!

Where to start with Pat Metheny? Jazz guitar pioneer and tireless musical innovator, the Missouri-born Metheny's career stretches back over forty years, during which time his stunning fusion of jazz, pop and world music has won him twenty Grammy Awards, and recently saw him become the youngest member of Downbeat's Hall of Fame (the jazz equivalent of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame).

David Sedaris is a Grammy Award-nominated humorist, writer, comedian, bestselling author, and radio contributor. Much of his humor is drawn from his unconventional North Carolina upbringing, his varied stream of odd-jobs (Christmas elf at Macy's, anyone?) and plays to his self-deprecating strengths, and now often concerns his life today in France with his partner. He'll also give readings from his newest collection, the #1 selling Calypso.

Folk icon Baez first came to prominence in the 1960s with her brand of soft and husky ballads that often covered topical issues of the day notably Diamonds And Rust which paid a touching tribute to her doomed romance with Bob Dylan. Now this true icon of folk music says farewell in her last-ever tour!
