A Christmas Carol

Until December 29, 2018

An integral part of McCarter's theater season every year, A Christmas Carol is the definitive holiday show for all the family. Based on the book by Charles Dickens, this celebration of humanity and openheartedness follows the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge, a cranky, penny-pinching business man who's taught to true meaning of Christmas by three spirits - the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future - who visit him on Christmas Eve.

The Hot Sardines breathe new life into vintage jazz, bringing the sounds of 1920's Paris, New Orleans and New York bang up to date with just the right sprinkling of irony. The exuberance of their playing and the contemporary tones of frontwoman Miz Elizabeth ensure that their music never sounds dated.

The original stars of Broadway's storming hit musical Jersey Boys are taking the country by storm with a whole new musical act that celebrates the music of the 1960s. The Midtown Men not only perform their acclaimed renditions of songs by the Four Seasons, they will also treat you to more sensational music by The Beatles, The Beach Boys and other great artists from the golden age of Motown. More than just a tribute to a bygone era, this performance will show you - or remind you - of what it was like to see those groundbreaking artists live onstage.
