Gloria: A Life at Mccarter Theatre Center

Why see Gloria: A Life?

The Tale of Feminist Icon Gloria Steinem

Featuring an all-woman cast, Gloria: A Life, celebrates the life, work and message of renowned feminist Gloria Steinem. The activist became a prominent feminist voice during the '60s and '70s after publishing the article 'After Black Power, Women's Liberation' in New York magazine. This fantastic play powerfully showcases her life's work.

Labelling herself as a 'radical feminist,' Gloria has dedicated her life to bringing conversations on gender issues to the forefront of society and still travels the world today working as an activist.

The play is written by Tony Award-nominee Emily Mann and directed by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus and stars Oscar nominee Mary McDonnell.

Powerful

Riveting, empowering and incredibly current ! The show was so impactful, I didn’t want it to end...and then it didn’t! The after show talk with the audience was deeply moving. I am grateful to have seen this show. The shows production and multi media qualities were excellent. ... Read more
