A rare treat from Musicals Tonight!

Why See Carnival?

Join the Carnival!

Musicals Tonight! have a history of reviving long forgotten musicals, introducing them to audiences all over again. Carnival or Carnival! is a 1960 show based on the 1953 French movie Lili, starring Lesie Caron. It's the strange adventure of Lili, a naive teenage orphan who turns up at the Carnival looking for her guardian, but ultimately she ends up becoming more than just a spectator.

With a book by Michael Stewart and lyrics from Bob Merrill, the story of Lili is enchanting and poignant, as she finds herself caught in a confusing love triangle between sleazy Marco the Magician and the grumpy-but-with-a-heart-of-gold puppeteer Paul. Her wide eyed innocence allows us to see the colorful folks of carnival clearly, and in a totally new light...

A must see for fans of rare musical theatre gems!
