Why See Hugh Jackman Back On Broadway?
Hugh Jackman, the Tony Award-winning star of the X-Men movie trilogy performs his favourite Broadway and Hollywood musical numbers with a full orchestra.
Australian native Hugh Jackman, who won a Tony Award for his Broadway debut in The Boy from Oz and was later seen opposite Daniel Craig in A Steady Rain, will return to The Great White Way in his solo show, Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway.
Accompanied by an 18 piece orchestra, Jackman's show consists of a personal selection of his favorite musical numbers including selections from "The Boy from Oz" and stories from his own experiences in Hollywood.
Hugh hosted the 81st Annual Academy Awards in February 2009, sparking a 13% increase in viewership.
In a statement Jackman said, "I can't believe it's been seven years since I was singing and dancing on Broadway. There is nothing like performing on the Great White Way and I'm so excited to be coming 'home.'"
