Why See Wakey, Wakey?

PlaysOff Broadway Shows

A play about life's complicated journey!

A contemplative new play by Obie and Lucille Lortel Award winner Will Eno, Wakey Wakey asks us to take a step back and enjoy life's pleasures as we consider where life takes us. Simultaneously humorous and moving, Eno asks us to thinks about what really matters to us, whether time is a good or bad concept, and whether or not we are headed to the same destination, no matter the paths we find ourselves on.

The works of Will Eno

A Residency Playwright at the Signature Theatre, Eno's works have been acclaimed by both the press and audiences alike. his play The Realistic Joneses transferred to Broadway in 2014 following a well-received engagement at Yale Repertory Theatre and was directed by Sam Gold, with a big-name cast that included Toni Collette, Michael C. Hall, Tracy Letts, and Marisa Tomei. Winning a Drama Desk Award, The Realistic Joneses collected a plethora of praise by the media, with USA Today dubbing it their "Best Play on Broadway, and even raised eyebrows across the Pond in London, where it topped The Guardian’s 2014 list of American plays. His other successful works include Thom Pain (based on nothing), which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in 2005 and Gnit in 2013.
