Why See Sincerely Oscar?
The New Oscar Hammerstein Musical
Oscar Hammerstein is maybe the greatest songwriter in Broadway history. Together with Richard Rodgers and a host of other collaborates, he wrote some of the most indelible songs in the American songbook, and changed the very form of the musical while he was at it.
Written by Doreen Taylor, Oscar brings his life story to the stage, employing 3D holographic technology in a cutting edge show that is every bit as experimental as its subject. Using Hammerstein's own words to narrate the story, Oscar features over 30 songs from the great man's catalogue, including numbers from The Sound of Music, Oklahoma!, South Pacific, Carousel, and many more! The Acorn Theatre production is directed by Dugg McDonough.
