Back Off-Broadway - Opening Night TBA
Written by comedian Lisa Lampanelli, Stuffed is honest look at women's relation to food and body image. In a culture that celebrates excess, being overweight is nevertheless a touchy subject, and a huge cause of anxiety for many Americans. Set on a simple stage, dressed with a few pieces of furniture and a refrigerator in the background, it's a hilarious and poignant conversation between four different women who have very different attitudes to their own bodies. Together they tackle every food-related topic imaginable, from ridiculous diets to muffin tops.
Stuffed debuted last year at Off-Broadway's Women's Project Theatre. Lisa Lampanelli will reprise her role as Lisa, while Jackson Gay returns to direct.
