About Silverstein

Formed in 2000, the band named themselves after Shel Silverstein, who the band had admired and whose work they had read as children. Making waves in the screamo scene, the band truly broke through with their genre-defining track 'My Heroine' - which has lasted the test of time as one of the great emo tracks of the early noughties. Marrying harsh screamed vocals with soaring melodies, they set the precedent for hundreds of bands to follow. Since their inception, the band have toured the world over and remain in the hearts of emo fans around the world.
