The Norwegian Indie Folk Legends
Norwegian indie-pop duo Kings of Convenience hit the road across North America! Comprised of Erlend ye and Eirik Glambek Be, the duo formed in Bergen, Norway in 1999 and released their debut album, "Quiet is the New Loud," in 2001, which garnered critical acclaim and established them as key players in the burgeoning indie folk scene.
The pair's music is characterized by intricate guitar work, tight harmonies, and introspective lyrics that often explore themes of love, longing, and introspection, often described as a modern take on the timeless songwriting traditions of artists like Simon & Garfunkel. Favourites from across the duo’s celebrated catalogue include songs such as “Misread,” “Mrs. Cold,” “I'd Rather Dance With You,” “Know-How,” “Cayman Islands,” and more, alongside tracks from their acclaimed return album Peace or Love.
