Will Last Summer at Bluefish Cove Come to Broadway?

Emmy and Tony Award-winner Cynthia Nixon was slated to head back to Broadway to direct Jane Chambers' landmark lesbian-themed play, Last Summer at Bluefish Cove , in 2020 for a 40th-anniversary revival. The production also had high-profile producers attached, including Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Lily Tomlin, Jane Wagner and Harriet Newman.

However, the revival never made it to the stage after the COVID-19 pandemic forced Broadway to shut down just a few months later. Although the project was never officially cancelled, no casting, theatre, or performance dates were ever announced. There have been no further updates on the originally announced Broadway revival.
